VLC PLAYER - SIMPLE AND POWERFUL

One of the best player you can have for your computer is VLC Player. It's very portable and can be use for many type of application. The part that I like the most about VLC Player is it can playback or preview a file like movie , mp3 and some other type of files when during downloading stage provided the coding of the file is not breaking at beginning. This is good because sometimes the files can be wrongly named or titled.Clearly this is to prevent wasting of time for keep on downloading and you can decide to delete the file straight away.

I use VLC Player a lot by using it to watch WWE Raw and Smackdown files that I downloaded on weekly basis from some of the torrent sites ( Check my earlier post of How To Download Movie From Internet ) and another great thing about VLC Player is it can playback DVD too.Sometimes I do use it to playback Mp3's because the audio quality this player can produce is good. You can download VLC Player at http://www.videolan.org/ Here's some additional informations about VLC Player.

Overview of the VideoLAN streaming solution

The VideoLAN streaming solution includes two programs:

  • VLC media player which can be used as a server and as a client to stream and receive network streams. VLC is able to stream all that it can read.
  • VLS (VideoLAN Server), which can stream MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 files, DVDs, digital satellite channels, digital terrestial television channels and live videos on the network in unicast or multicast. Most of the VLS functionality can now be found VLC. Usage of VLC instead of VLS is advised.
